The most potentially powerful outcome of Endow San Diego is the genesis of local charitable foundations across the region, growing under the banner, “Endow Your Community.” Each of these new foundations attracts members whose donations create an endowment as well as immediate grantmaking funds that serve their communities exclusively. Here is what we are focusing on now:
Grantmaking
The Carlsbad Charitable Foundation is already making an impact in their community. With the completion of its first grant cycle, the Carlsbad Charitable Foundation focused on Youth Education and Youth Services, and will award over $43,000 to programs that help the youth of Carlsbad. Next year’s focus will target another area of need in Carlsbad. By joining the Carlsbad Charitable Foundation, you will collaborate with other Carlsbad residents and help guide next year’s grantmaking, making a difference where you live.
Our first grants celebration will take place
